Dear Parents,

We are very happy that summer has arrived at last.  The girls have been working very hard this term and are looking forward to their summer holidays.

We had a lovely Active Schools Week & Health Promoting Schools Week, 10th June to 14th June.  We had a basketball blitz, skipping, cycling, yoga, dance, went walking and held our sports day where all students took part in three running events.  We had two giant bouncing castles and a special visit from an Ice-cream van – very exciting!

We are so proud of our Communion and Confirmation girls who were excellently behaved and looked beautiful on their special days.  We were blessed with nice weather on both days.

Our sell-out school musical was an amazing success!

Our runners did very well at the City Sports on the 30th May and brought home trophies.

June is a very busy month here in Presentation Primary.  We have a WOW day every Wednesday this month where children, parents and teachers walk to school.  We have had a great turn out every week.  Well done to all the children and staff.

All our classes went on really exciting school tours (Cuskinny Park, Rumleys, Mardyke Arena, Oysterhaven, Glen Resource Centre, UCC and Fitzgerald Park).

There was a Graduation Ceremony in the school Thursday 20th June for 6th Class girls with their families.  We will be very sad to say goodbye to our wonderful students.  We wish them all the best in Secondary School.

The children got water safety bands to instruct them about staying safe in water over the summer.

We were thrilled to receive our 7th Green Flag and Health Promoting Schools Flag.  Congratulations to our two committees and all our students.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our dedicated staff and our hard working Parents Association for their wonderful work during the school year.

Wishing you all a happy and safe summer.

Best Wishes,

Carol Leonard, Principal.
