Principals Message

A message from the school principal on June 26th, 2020.

Dear Parents and children,

We are happy that summer has arrived at last. As the school year draws to a close, I want to take this opportunity to thank you all and to wish you a safe and happy summer.

This has been a challenging year, but I want to congratulate the children on how well they have done, staying safe, working hard, engaging with your teachers and with schoolwork. We are very proud of you. The teachers loved seeing samples of your work and of all the different activities you took part in. I hope you really enjoyed our Active Fortnight.

Congratulations to the 6th class girls. We had a lovely remote graduation ceremony on the 19th June.  Well done girls and best wishes for September.

Thank you to all the parents who worked so hard making sure their children completed schoolwork assigned and for sending in all the lovely photos, videos, and samples of excellent work.

Now that the holidays have started, I want to remind you all to be safe in the water this summer – never swim alone, swim within your depth and swim only when a lifeguard is on duty.  Don’t forget to wear sun cream, sunglasses and a hat when it is sunny.

I hope you all have a fun filled and active summer and remember to continue to stay safe, washing your hands and practising good cough etiquette and social distancing.

We are excited to see you all on the 27th August.

Slán tamaill,

Carol Leonard.

Principal’s message

Dear Parents,

You are all welcome back to a new and exciting school year in Presentation Primary School.  I would like to extend a very warm welcome to our new students who are settling in well and to wish them many happy years in Presentation Primary.  We have many exciting events and activities planned for this year and we will keep you informed of these as the year progresses.  Our school, which was founded by the Presentation Sisters, is situated on the Dunmanway Road overlooking the beautiful historic town of Bandon.  At Presentation Primary School we recognise the uniqueness of each child in our care and strive to develop their potential in a nurturing and mutually respectful manner.  Our dedicated, experienced and compassionate staff works tirelessly to provide the very best and broadest education for all the children. We aim to provide a warm and caring environment where pupils can achieve their full potential academically, spiritually, physically, socially, morally and emotionally. The goodwill, support and assistance which we receive from you the parents and the wider community, combined with the dedication of the staff and the willingness of the children, ensures that we have a truly unique school.
