2nd class had a super morning playing rugby with Bronson. He had a very special visitor with him today, his sister Stacey Waaka who plays rugby for the New Zealand Black Ferns rugby team. We would like to thank Bronson for all his work since October. We look forward to seeing our girls playing for Ireland in the future. Thanks for the inspiration Bronson and Stacey.👏👏👏😃

We were delighted to have Garda Michael Dunne from the local Roads Policing Unit visit our 6th Class today. We made posters with the aim of highlighting road safety in the run up to Christmas. Our wonderful work will be featured as part of An Garda Síochána’s road safety awareness campaign.

Horse Riding Lessons

A very happy photo of Mrs. Kelly’s class who recently completed 5 weeks of horse riding at Hawthorn Villa Equestrian Centre.  The girls had great fun over the five lessons and were delighted to be presented with rosettes. A huge thank you to Brian and Sheila Mehigan for facilitating it all. 🙂

Engineer Alison Delahunty visited our school yesterday. She gave a talk about Engineering & Construction to the 5th & 6th Class girls and she gave them the challenge of building a structure using marshmallows and spaghetti !! The children had great fun working together in teams to design and build their structures.

6th Class did some fundraising for the Mercy Hospital “Heroes Campaign”. Here they are, presenting a cheque for the amount raised, €1,065.60, to Deirdre Finn, who visited our school today. Well done to all!
