BT Young Scientists
4th, 5th & 6th class girls were delighted to receive a visit today from Ella Donegan and Cliodhna Prendergast, TY students of Colaiste na Toirbhirte Secondary School. They recently received a highly commended ribbon in the Intermediate group “Behavioural and Psychological” category at the BT Young Scientists competition in Dublin earlier this month. They gave our girls a very informative talk on their project which was titled “An investigation into the effect of social motivation, attention and physical effort on competition”. Well done Ella and Cliodhna.👏👏👏
2nd class had a super morning playing rugby with Bronson. He had a very special visitor with him today, his sister Stacey Waaka who plays rugby for the New Zealand Black Ferns rugby team. We would like to thank Bronson for all his work since October. We look forward to seeing our girls playing for Ireland in the future. Thanks for the inspiration Bronson and Stacey.👏👏👏😃
Garda road safety campaign
We were delighted to have Garda Michael Dunne from the local Roads Policing Unit visit our 6th Class today. We made posters with the aim of highlighting road safety in the run up to Christmas. Our wonderful work will be featured as part of An Garda Síochána’s road safety awareness campaign.
