February was International Friendship Month and we celebrated it throughout our school, dedicating the week of the 14th February to Friendship Week. Lots of activities took place throughout the school culminating in a collection for Special Olympics, a well deserving organisation that promotes friendship for those with intellectual disabilities.

Ms Waugh’s 5th/6th class  were busy making a display for friendship week using confetti listed with ways of showing kindness. They also created their own friendship crosswords and gave them to friends to complete. Many of the poets in the class created some interesting FRIEND acrostic poems.

6th Class were busy during friendship week building lasting connections through the medium of paint.

First Class were busy spreading friendship around too and they enjoyed logging it each day on their individual sheets. They had a great time in the hall playing friendship games , sharing information and facts about themselves that the others may not have known. They worked really hard too in the yard ensuring that everyone had a friend to play with at  break time.
