Ms. Twomey’s and Mrs. Wilson’s classes recently had outings to Clonakilty Blackpudding Visitor Centre and Killaveenoge Wind Farm where they enjoyed new experiences right on our doorstep.
Busy October in 5th Class
5th class had a busy and wonderful October.
6th Class – Art on Friday’s
Ms.Corr’s girls have settled into 6th class so well & they have been enjoying their Friday afternoon Art lessons. Happy Halloween to all of the girls & their families.
5th Class Biodiversity Project

Bandon Biodiversity Project
5th class have been extremely busy working on their biodiversity projects under the theme of ‘Bandon’s Biodiversity – Your Wish for the Future’.
The pupils really enjoyed learning about biodiversity. They submitted their projects to “BEAG” (Bandon Environmental Action Group) and are excited that some of their projects will be on display in Bandon Library.
School Mural – Day 3
Day 3 of our painting was Wednesday, we are almost complete !! It is wonderful to see the whole school involvement and to see the children enjoying the painting. Well done to everyone involved.

Day 2 – Splendid painting done on Tuesday, even the cat joined in saying “That’s purr-fect!”
School Mural – Bandon landscape
Our whole school mural has begun. Watch this space during the week to see the project developing. Lovely to have Deirdre Crowley, local artist and past pupil leading the mural.
Tree Planting
Ms Desmond and Ms Dullea’s classes had a super field trip on Friday planting trees. They planted oak, alder, spruce and hazelnut saplings.They were rewarded for all their hard work with some tasty treats afterwards! A big ‘Thank You’ to Gary and Brigid Doherty for facilitating this wonderful experience for the girls.
